Three sites. Three days. More music acts than you can poke a stick at. That's pretty much the best way to describe the Falls Music and Arts Festival - and the line-up for 2014's event has just been released.

There's a huge international contingency for this year's festival - including the hugely popular Alt-J; these alt-rockers are top headliners, and easy picks to bring in the New Year at one of the sites. SBTRKT will also be heading to Falls with a live set, and Jamie xx (of The xx) will be bringing his tunes down under. American indie rockers Cold War Kids have also made the bill, along with Robyn together with Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp, plus Germany's Milky Chance. You'll also be able to catch U.S. punk-rockers The Black Lips, who are sure to put on a big show, or for something a little more mellow, Glass Animals will be there to woo you. The chilled-out sounds of George Ezra will also be hitting Fall Festival; this guy should be spectacular live. And believe it or not, but Salt n Pepa are back, and will be taking control of Boogie Nights.

THE FALLS MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL 2014/15

The Aussie influence is also impressive, headed by folk-pop favourite Vance Joy; he'll be sure to mesmerise the crowd with new music from his album, due out shortly. The Temper Trap are also back, and will be bringing their popular rock to Falls. John Butler Trio are also in the mix, as is the ever-happening Jagwar Ma. Bluejuice will also be playing some of their final shows - ever - as the mischievous lads choose to call it quits. And festival favourite The Kite String Tangle will be spinning his tunes at this year's event.

The best bit? This is just the beginning. The bottom of the press release states "plus more to be announced". Bring it on.

Falls Lorne runs from 28th December 2014 to the 1st January 2015. The Marion Bay festival is on from the 29th December 2014 to the 1st January 2015, while Falls Byron runs from the 31st December to the 3rd January. The ticket ballot is now open, so for more information, head to www.fallsfestival.com.au.
