Splendour In the Grass is always one of the year’s biggest festivals; one to keep an eye out for, and relish the extensive line-up. In 2015, the organisers have truly outdone themselves, with an announcement today that would be the biggest in the event’s history.

It’s been rumoured for the longest time, but today it was officially announced Blur will be making their way down under for Splendour. It’s 18 years since we last saw the band down under, so it’s long overdue. They’re just the very pinnacle of the international acts: Florence and the Machine, Mark Ronson, Of Monsters and Men, The Wombats, Jamie T, Ryan Adams, The Dandy Warhols, Johnny Marr, The Vaccines, Royal Blood, Spiritualised, Best Coast, Purity Ring, Catfish and the Bottlemen… It’s a varied and distinguished list, certain to have something to appeal to everyone.

Tame Impala are returning home too, and will be leading the local line-up at this year’s Splendour. The event has also lured Azealia Banks back to our shores, as well as bringing together the likes of Boy & Bear, Xavier Rudd, The Rubens, San Cisco, Pond, The Grates, Thundamentals, The Church, Jarryd James, Last Dinosaurs, Megan Washington, Meg Mac, #1 Dads, Alpine, Dustin Tebbutt, Client Liaison, Dune Rats, The Delta Riggs, Art Of Sleeping – and that’s just the beginning.

Electronica and dance will get a big look in at 2015’s Splendour In The Grass. The Tiny Dancer stage will be showcasing some of Australia’s preeminent DJs. Mark Ronson will be showing off his skills, bringing to fans his string of hits and further proving everything he touches turns to gold. He’ll be backed up by Peking Duk, Flight Facilities, Alison Wonderland, Ms Mr, Paul Mac and Hayden James.

Fans have rejoiced. Festival lovers are dusting off the tents and getting ready for the roadtrip. This year’s Splendour In The Grass is set to be one of the biggest we’ve seen in years – and all in the beautiful location of Byron Bay.

Tickets are on sale on Thursday 23rd April from 9am (AEST). For all the details, head to
