Forty years on, Monster Fest is rewinding the tape for a full-throttle weekend celebration of one of the greatest years in genre history.

From Friday to Sunday in a cinema near you, Monster Fest Weekender 1986 brings together eight stone-cold classics, all released in the same miraculous year and all celebrating their big 4-0 on the big screen where they belong. Join us... if you dare!

Competition opens at 6:00pm AEDT on Friday 13th March 2026 and closes at 11:59 pm AEDT on Wednesday 18th March 2026. Seven winners will be chosen at random on Thursday 19th March 2026. To successfully win, entrants must fulfil the above entry conditions before the time the competition closes. Current members/followers are eligible to enter the competition. Only one entry per person. Only one winner per household. To be a valid winner, the entrant must not have won a prize from SWITCH within the last 28 days.
