Acclaimed actor Richard Dreyfuss (nominated at the 1995 Academy Awards for the role) stars as a 1960s musician and composer who uses jazz and rock 'n' roll to inspire his music students in this uplifting hit cheered by audiences everywhere.
The film traces his career up to the modern day, and his aspiration to write a truly memorable piece of music, while also following his attempts to support his family and raise his deaf son. In time, however, Mr Holland realises his real passion is teaching.
