As the year draws to a close, one event draws ever closer: Peats Ridge. Heading into its ninth year, the line-up for 2012 has just been announced.

There's a slew of Aussies set to perform - first and foremost, local favourites John Butler Trio. Mat. McHugh of The Beautiful Girls will by joined by The Seperatista Sound System. You'll also see Deep Sea Arcade, Gossling, The Herd, Gold Fields, The Medics, The Cairos and Battleships.

From across the Tasman, The Black Seeds will be joining this year's festival, and further afield, soul extraordinaires Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings will be hitting Peats Ridge. There'll be a Friendly Fires DJ Set from Jack Savidge, a performance from Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and the first Aussie gig for 65daysofstatic.

In addition to the musical element, there promises to be "art installations, kooky themed venues, multimedia, theatre, dance, cabaret, comedy, circus, and much, much more."

The Peats Ridge Sustainable Arts & Music Festival runs from the 29th December 2012 to the 1st January 2013, with tickets on sale from 20th August - head to for more details.
