ONE OF THEM DAYS

Comedies in cinemas are becoming a rarer and rarer breed. Streaming seems to be the place this genre has moved to - but there is something you just can't replicate on a couch, and that's the joy of laughing in a room full of strangers. The few comedies that make it to the big screen have had a bigger weight on them in recent years, almost as if they have to prove themselves to be standout in that "big screen" experience. 'One of Them Days' is here to remind us the joy of experiencing laughter in the theatre.

'One of Them Days' follows Dreux (Keke Palmer, 'Nope', 'Lightyear') and Alyssa (SZA, in her acting debut) on, well, one of them days. Dreux has been working her diner job but has fantasies of being a franchisee, and is having an interview for her dream job that afternoon. Coming home from her shift, she learns that Alyssa hasn't paid rent, instead giving it to her current situationship Keshawn (Joshua David Neal). If they don't have the money to their landlord by the end of the day they will be evicted. It's a race against the clock to get the money - and they'll stop at nothing to get that cash!
